Sheet metal processing

Laser and water jet cutting capabilities

Laser and water jet cutting are typically employed for small to medium production volumes, especially when rapid part delivery is necessary. The upfront investment for a new part is minimal.

Eboss uses advanced laser cutting technology, primarily focusing on precision-engineered components made from copper and other premium materials. However, we also process standard parts in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. An integrated material management system streamlines the cutting process, allowing for swift sheet changes. Additionally, a robotic system handles picking and placing parts onto pallets.

Sheet sizes can be up to 3000x1500mm. Copper sheets range in thickness from 1mm to 15mm, while regular steel can go up to 25mm thick.

For smaller batches or even thicker materials, we offer water jet cutting as an alternative. Though this method is slower and has limited capacity, it is ideal for short runs and prototyping.

High precision in cutting copper parts

Laser cutting copper can be quite challenging. To begin with, a specific oxygen-free grade of copper is needed for optimal results. Additionally, it’s important to carefully manage the heat generated during cutting, as it can affect the sheet material. Special part nesting patterns are also necessary. These factors contribute to why Eboss excels at laser cutting engineered copper parts. Our extensive experience ensures efficient material use alongside tailored cutting parameters.

We also provide mixed gas cutting solutions, which enhance surface smoothness and minimize burrs in the cut areas.

For further improvement, we offer post-process grinding and tumbling to remove burrs and sharp edges.
